Malo e lelei, kia ora and welcome. My name is Tania Jeffs-Sevesi, eldest daughter of the late music icon, Hawaiian Steel guitarist and Patron to the Kiwileles (NZUT), Bill Sevesi. I am a Tongan-born, Maori and English descent celebrant and have done weddings for most cultures and age groups. (see Testimonials page). It gives me quite the personality, experiences and cultural protocol that brings such uniqueness to your special occasion or service.
Here is my whakapapa
Ko Ngatokimatawhaorua te waka (our canoe), Ko Nukutawhiti te tangata (our chief)
Ko Rahiri te tupuna (ancestor), Ko Kapowai te maunga (our mountain)
Ko Waikare Te Awa (river), Ko Te Aranga o te Pa, Te Huihuinga te whare
Ko Te Kapotai te hapu (subtribe), Ko Ngapuhi te iwi (tribe)
My ceremonies have also included young and old, first time, second or third rounders, multi-cultured, backyard, “last minute”, hotel rooftops or wedding venues. While being Auckland-based, I’ve been asked to and would welcome more bookings, outside of Auckland.
I also do funerals and unveilings and can speak a smidgen of maori, a tad more of tongan and have a background in MC work in the music industry with an all-rounder, go-getter attitude. A mixed skillset which adds a ton of value to your special day or service, as your celebrant.
My other professional career is marketing, design and digital media.
With dad, Hall of Fame Award 2015
My celebrant training was under a very experienced celebrant of 27 years, incorporated with strong community, music entertainment, acting and presentation skills.

When I get the chance, I’ll go fishing anytime the opportunity arises; have overcome the “Fearfall, Stratosfear and Invader” (will never go on the Fearfall again!) at Rainbow’s End, hangout with my teenage son, nieces and nephew (lasertag, tenpin bowling, whatever); love manicures and pedicures; watch a good sci-fi or action movie. Can hold a note or two if asked to get up on stage or do the odd gig.
Lastly, am proud to have three gorgeous grand daughters aged 5.5, 3 and 1 years old.
